WHAT IS JROTC?
JROTC stands for Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps. It is a class offered at many high schools around the country, including our very own Barron Collier. JROTC is a leadership skills class where cadets learn valuable life, financial, and leadership skills that will move them through life as they grow with the program.
DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE MILITARY IF I TAKE JROTC?
JROTC is a high school class meant to teach cadets how to become the best leaders they can; we are not here to recruit for any of the armed services. We support our cadets in any of their after high school plans, such as college, technical school, a military career, or employment.
DOES IT COST ANY MONEY?
All uniform pieces that are necessary to participate in JROTC are provided to the cadet at no cost to their guardians.
DO YOU HAVE ANY AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES?
Yes! We have many after school teams, including, but not limited to, mixed drill team, facsimile, color guard, raider team, and honor guard. You can find information on any of these teams in the links provided.
